# Release Notes

Release notes describe the changes introduced in each StageMic version.

**The current release is v1.10**.

## v1.10

### Intentional multiple mics

Multiple-mic allocations can now be marked as intentional.

* Approve an allocation in one scene.
* Apply approval to all currently matching scenes.
* Use **Review assignment** to restore a conflict warning.
* Save approvals with the show and autosave.
* Keep both mics and their independent handovers visible.

Approved allocations use an intentional double-mic label instead of red conflict highlighting. Printed plots and individual actor reports also recognise the approval.

Changes to the wearer, mic combination or character allocation require review again. Renaming or reordering scenes preserves approvals attached to those scenes.

### Windows installer

A Windows setup executable is now available alongside portable ZIP packaging.

The installer creates application shortcuts, provides an uninstaller and registers `.mic` files with StageMic. Existing autosave, settings and activation storage are retained.

Uninstalling does not automatically deactivate a licence. Deactivate from inside StageMic first if you want to release the computer’s activation slot.

## v1.9

### Trial licences

Added support for seven-day trial licences.

Trials require online validation at the start of each new session and daily check-in. Once started, a session continues through connection loss or trial expiry.

Trial expiry is displayed in the app. Trial records are retained to support repeat-trial restrictions.

### Network setup improvements

* Moved QR codes into a modal opened beside each display link.
* Moved the Crew password button and status beneath the Crew link.
* Simplified the confirmation shown when opening another show.

### Network setup layout

* Grouped OSC settings with OSC messages.
* Grouped display settings with backstage display links.
* Renamed **QLab Control** to **OSC Control**.
* Removed localhost from the display interface selector while retaining it for OSC.

### Stable display links and Crew login

* Added stable `/display` and `/crew` routes.
* Added a themed Crew password screen.
* Added remembered Crew logins.
* Changing the Crew password signs out existing Crew sessions.

Display links remain the same while the computer’s address and display port remain unchanged.

### Network interfaces

Added separate interface and port selection for backstage displays and OSC.

### Show files and interface

* Added macOS `.mic` file registration.
* Added save-before-replace prompts for loading shows and creating new shows.
* Moved **New** beside **Save** and **Load**.
* Updated the header to **Licence | New Save Load Print**.
* Adjusted dropdown arrow spacing.

## v1.7

### Incomplete-handover alerts

Added optional silent computer notifications and an in-app warning when moving forward exactly one scene with handovers still unticked in the scene being left.

The setting is off by default and saved with the show. Scene control continues immediately.

### Other improvements

* **Select all** changes to **Deselect all** when every actor is selected for printing.
* Improved alignment of display Open buttons.

## v1.6

### Printing and display previews

* Added **Select all** to the actor report picker.
* Changed individual actor reports to open the system print dialog.
* Added Open buttons for backstage displays.
* Simplified helper text and improved Network setup spacing.

## v1.5.1

### Complete-only displays

Updated the second display type to allow marking handovers completed without allowing completion to be undone.

Crew displays and computer controls retain their correction options.

## v1.5

### Shared handover completion

* Added completion controls on backstage displays.
* Shared completion status across connected devices and the control app.
* Added individual corrections in Backstage swaps.
* Added **Reset all completions** for the next performance.
* Added green completion highlighting.

Completion progress is stored separately from show files and excluded from printed reports.

## v1.4

### Individual actor reports

Added actor selection for reports, with one page per selected actor.

### Licensing and display improvements

* Added support for full-perpetual licences.
* Improved platform-neutral wording.
* Disabled access to Developer Tools through the normal app interface.
* Improved backstage display heartbeat status and recovery.
* Improved licence status and error messages.

## v1.3

### Licensing

Introduced Keygen licence activation, machine activation limits and offline licence validation.
