The Current allocations section shows who is plotted to have each mic in the selected scene. It is available on both Crew and Complete-only backstage displays.

Reading the list

Each entry identifies the mic and its assigned character. Actor information is included where the character has been linked to an actor in Production setup. Mic table assignments identify packs plotted at the table. Unassigned mics have no specified wearer for that scene.

Finding a wearer

Current allocations can help crew locate the person associated with a pack. For example, if the operator reports that mic 12 needs a battery change:
  1. Check the display’s current scene.
  2. Find mic 12 in Current allocations.
  3. Identify the listed actor or character.
  4. Confirm their location and arrange the battery change.
Accurate actor links make this easier when an actor plays several characters.

Planned allocations

Current allocations comes from the show plot. It does not receive live information from radio transmitters or receivers, and it does not track a pack’s physical location. Marking a handover completed does not change this list. An unticked handover also does not prevent the list from showing the receiving wearer once that scene is selected. If a handover has been missed or the plan has changed, confirm the actual wearer with the crew.

Scene changes

The list updates when the controlling computer changes the current scene. Moving backwards or jumping to another scene shows the allocations plotted for that scene. If the list looks unexpected, check the scene name and connection status before assuming the plot is wrong.

Multiple mics

If someone is allocated more than one mic, each pack remains listed independently. Marking a multiple-mic allocation as intentional does not combine the packs or hide either entry.

Correcting allocations

Allocations cannot be edited from a backstage display. Make changes in the controlling computer’s Mic plot. Connected displays then receive the updated show information.
